Is smoked salmon just as nutritious to eat as the fresh, tinned or frozen versions of salmon? Or is it nutritionally inferior.

Smoked Salmon has added salt, which isn’t as healthy as fresh salmon.

    Of course that everything is fresh is healthier, but i believe eating either the salmon is fresh, smoked, tinned or frozon, is good and healthy no matter what

    tinned is less healthy, because it is precooked to industrial standard temperatures (lower that home temps), therefore cooking out some nutrients, and depending of what it is packed in (oil, salted water, ect) the liquid can add unhealthy sodium or fat.
    but fresh and frozen are the same!
    on a side note, have you tried salmon with pasta? YUM!!

    it is inferior it. it is the best fresh not canned or frozen as for a fact stay away from canned anything if you can.

    The most nutritious would be buying a fresh salmon and cooking it yourself. Anything else is of lower quality.

    NOTE: I don’t recommend eating FRESH salmon; although it’s very tasty as sashimi (aka sushi), it may have pollutants or parasites in it that will give you intestinal troubles. ALWAYS cook the salmon.

    Aside from the nutritional evaluation, smoked salmon can be very delicious.
