My fiance and I have a Cape Cod style home and the upstairs is unbearable during the summer heat. The lower portion of the house stays pretty regulated with the central air but the upstairs doesn’t seem to change. Anyone know of a way to cool the upper half??

Try closing the vents down stairs and just open the ones up stairs. Your problem is that hot air rises and cold air sinks. By switching the flow of the air you will be placing the cold air up stair to sink down making the warm air rising a little cooler so both the up and down stairs will be at a ok temp. Also if you have a air return on both floors then close the down stair one and just have the up staires one pull in that hot air to also help get rid of it.
If you are a handy man or woman putting in ceiling fans will help to move that hot air to.

I’m not looking for anything too detailed. I usually cook salmon with lime, coriander and chillis or just with a squeeze of lemon but I’ve never cooked cod. Thanks in advance.

4 Cod fillets
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 orange, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
1 onion, sliced into rings
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons dry white wine
1 lemon, cut into wedges

Directions:
Place fish into a dry glass baking dish. Squeeze lemon juice over fish. Arrange alternate slices of oranges and tomatoes over top of fish, and then spread onion rings on top again. Arrange remainder of onions and the mushrooms around the sides of fish.

Sprinkle seasonings over fish and surroundings. Sprinkle wine over all ingredients. Cook in an ordinary moderate oven for about 30 minutes. Serve with lemon wedges

Are there any observable differences between cod and haddock fillets? I need to know because our grocery store mislabeled it and one of my dinner guests got sick (haddock allergy).
valda, why waste your time with my so called "fake" question? Some people assume they know it all!

I appreciate any real help.

i couldn t be sure but i think that a cod fillet is alot whiter than haddock which is slightly darker and the flakes of flesh not as big as the Cod, if it still has its skin on the fillet its alot easier, why?..well god has a very silver under"belly" and is more golden with golden spots on its back. haddock is a darker grey/brown colour with a black/grey line running all the way from its head to the tail

I am going into high school and am very serious about baseball, i heard that the cape cod league is the place to be for HS baseball players. How do u get selected to play there, serious answers plz!
Cape Cod High School Classic

Cape Cod league is for college players and you must be invited or live on the Cape and make the cut. Players must be amateurs and for many this is the first time they will use wooden bats.

I am buying a cape Cod house and want to paint it to look like an orginal. Any ideas?
I’d like to paint it similar to how it would have been painted in 17th century New England.

In the 17th century most houses were not painted. In new England they would be covered with cedar shingles or clapboards and allowed to weather and turn gray. If you want a classic look for your cape, Cabot makes several shades of gray stain, cape cod gray, driftwood gray, dune gray, etc. Pick one of them for the siding and paint the trim white and your house will have a look I think you will like. I like Cabot ProVT stain for the siding and Cabot Finish for the trim. Do the doors in a nice blue, check Benjamin Moore’s historical colors, and your house will look really sharp.

I am planning to purchase a cod liver oil supplement in liquid form but it so confusing. There are hundreds of different products and I don’t have any idea which one is the best one and most effective.

If you want to take Cod liver oil because of the beneficial omega 3 oils, I strongly suggest that instead you take flax oil. Flax is just as high in omega 3, and the oil tastes great. We mx it 50-50 with vinegar to make a salad dressing. But I haven’t heard anything good about the taste of cod liver oil.

I’m talking about taking the OIL, by the way, not taking capsules or something. It is much cheaper per dose to use the oil than the capsules, which contain almost nothing.

Also, never cook with flax oil or cod liver oil. Use cold or at room temperature.

I went to it last year in 8th grade and is a nice park, right on the beach of Cape Cod, by the cape Cod rail trail, and the cape cod bay?, they have some cabins to stay there.

Call the school you went to when you were there, or the bus company who drove you. They may have some record. I hope this helps. See what you are describing sounds like alot of places on the cape.
